Start a Facebook Fundraiser for Our Rescues

Some of the best help we get isn't a check — it's someone telling their friends about us. A Facebook fundraiser lets you do exactly that. You set a goal, say in your own words why our dogs matter to you, and your friends can give right there in the post. Facebook covers the processing fees for verified nonprofits like us, so every dollar raised comes straight to our rescues.

Birthdays are the most popular reason people start one — but you don't need a reason at all.

1. Open Fundraisers. In the Facebook app, search for “Fundraisers.” On a computer, find Fundraisers in the left-hand menu. You can also go to our Facebook page and look for the Fundraisers option there.
2. Choose “Raise money for a nonprofit.”
3. Search for WeHelpAnimals.net. Please check the name carefully before you select it — a lot of organizations have similar names, and you don't want your hard work raising money for someone else by mistake.
4. Set your goal and end date. Pick an amount that feels doable. You can always change it later.
5. Tell people why. A few honest sentences beat a polished pitch every time. Mention a dog you've met, or just say what made you care.
6. Add a cover photo. Any photo of a rescue works — feel free to grab one from our page.
7. Preview it, then publish. You can still edit after it's live.

Then share it, and share it again a few days later — most donations come from the second or third reminder, not the first. Facebook sends what you raise to us automatically, roughly every two weeks.
